The March on Washington
The “I Have a Dream” speech was made by Martin Luther King Jr. during the famous March on Washington. To the right is a link to the program used for the March on Washington. 250,000 people attended the March on Washington and marched down Constitution and Independence Ave. It was very symbolic, not to mention the fact that they were marching in the capital of America. Many people will remember the famous speech made by Martin Luther King Jr. but there were so many other speeches made that, as the program shows. Also, the official name of the march was “The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.” So, there was so much that those 250,000 people were fighting for. Overall, the March on Washington will be remember for a great stand, amazing speeches, and thousands of people.
